After successful completion of the Autumn Apprentice program, students in the following new year may be invited to join the production company for the American School of Acting.

As Artist company members, students really begin to work and grow in a tight ensemble across a variety of media:

  • cutting their teeth on acting for the microphone in audio drama podcasts

  • acting in short films produced by ASA Artists, with the help of emerging professional film makers

  • performing in a variety of stage shows, both in theatrical environment and in site specific productions.

The following ASA projects are in development:

  • a radio drama podcast for a Halloween release

  • a stage showcase at a studio theatre in York in December

  • web series film drama in Spring 2018

  • a murder mystery at a north Yorkshire mansion.

All the while, the learning continues with ASA as students develop greater skills in movement, heightened language, accents and characterisation.
